At this point, the total resources available on the national budget for the Space sector, net of the Italian contribution to ESA programs, are approximately 2 billion on the three-year plan of the ASI, and approximately 2 billion and 300 million that are available through the resources of the NRP. and the complementary fund, therefore 4.3. Italy has the ambition to become one of the protagonists in the new space race together with Europe so as to be ready for a market that will rise to 642 billion by 2030. For the near future, there are 3 objectives to be achieved. The first is the strengthening of the Italian space industry chain. It becomes essential to stimulate innovation and scientific research through investments in the most strategic and important sectors. The third point of the program is the creation of new business models to increase the collaboration between public and private. In detail, there will be an investment by ASI of 431 million in technologies and nanosatellites. The PNRR and the complementary fund will be partly dedicated to the Space Factory, a program to strengthen the Italian space supply chain with an investment of 60 million. Finally, 1.230 billion euros will be allocated for Earth observation, both for institutional services and for commercial developments.
