An extraordinary new mission for MIPRONS: our start-up has flown to Japan to participate in ITALY INNOVATION DAY 2023: SPACE CHAPTER AND BEYOND, to be held in Tokyo until 15 December.

The mission is organised by the Italian Embassy in Japan and is related to the aerospace sector, close to the third National Space Day on 16 December.

The Lazio Region, thanks to Lazio Innova, has selected 5 small and medium-sized companies or innovative start-ups in the aerospace sector operating in the region. These companies represent the most advanced technical-economic ecosystem.

The initiative is promoted by the Ministero degli Affari Esteri in collaboration with the Ministero delle imprese e del Made in Italy, the Italian Space Agency – ASI, the Foreign Trade Agency ICE, the Regions of Lazio, Emilia-Romagna, Piemonte and Puglia.

The Mission includes various events and presentations organised by the Italian Embassy in Japan. Selected companies will also be able to participate in specific B2B meetings with invited Japanese operators.

The programme is part of the mission organised by MIMIT in Japan with the participation of Minister Adolfo Urso. The Minister held a bilateral meeting with the Japanese Minister for Space and Technology, Sanae Takaichi. The talks focused on space cooperation between Italy and Japan, with an emphasis on various sectors such as Earth observation and space exploration.

During the meeting, the ministers shared the strategic importance of the ARTEMIS lunar exploration programme launched by the United States, which is now a priority in their respective national space programmes.

The agenda for the coming days is very full. The visit begins today with a meeting on “Doing Business in Japan” with the Director General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan, Davide Fantoni. It will continue with a visit to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency – JAXA.
