The collaboration foresees the development of an innovative water propulsion system, designed for mini-satellites. The MIPRONS propulsion system, characterized by miniaturized dimensions, high specific impulse and high thrust, may be installed both on nano and mini-satellites.
Ideal to accomplish manouvers as orbit raising, de-orbiting and collision avoidance, in significantly shorter times, compared to the current propulsion systems, it adopts water as main propellant simplifying the overall system, in terms of costs, safety, certifications, lead times, etc.
